Staten Island Dog Show 6.27.10 06/28/2010
Anne Lettis has been showing dogs for nearly 30 years now. She had invited me to the Staten Island Dog Show this past Sunday, where she was showing her dog Rocky...a Stanford Bull Terrier. I watched in amazement as Rocky strutted his stuff around ring #3. As usual, Rocky went home a winner!!!! My father was with me and couldn't believe all the work it takes to prepare these dogs for showing. He can't wait to join me at another show!!!! Danielle from LI-DOG has asked Puppy Personal to join them at Eleanor Rigbys on Tuesday, August 17th. Come by, have a drink, socialize, and give your furry friends a treat from Puppy Personal. THROW MY DOG A BONE ALL THE DOG’S IN THE YARD WILL HOWL FOR HOMEMADE TREATS Puppy Personal cookies are so couture, not only are they baked in small artisanal batches, but each cookie is super-duper-customized to your dog’s taste! Everything is so fresh and we love that you get to pick the shape of your cookie on their super easy to use website www.puppypersonal.com/treats and that they will add a gift card to any order you place. Each time a batch arrives it makes you feel like you just made them for your barker baby yourself and we LOVE that there is no mess to clean up! Just like home cooking, you know that this treat is filled with love and nutrients. Oh and don’t just take my word for it, these wholesome treats are more than something snazzy to look at, they are registered with the NYS Department of Agriculture! Your Canine Cookies are guaranteed and proven healthy morsels for your fur friends. My boy is super fussy so believe me – if he eats the snack your pup will need your stash in a safe so your dog does not eat the whole bag at once! Training will take on a new level of ease as the sit, stay and roll-over commands will be well adhered to with the right treat! EASY BREEZY BAKING with PUPPY PERSONAL LETS YOUR PICKY PUP CHOOSE HIS TREAT TO EAT: #1: Pick your crowd-pleasing shapes -- my FAV is THE GIRL’S NIGHT OUT which circles back to my love of shoes and fashion. #2: Choose which of dog-gone delightful flavors will entice your pup beef, peanut and oat flavors. #3 Create a personalized note if you are gifting the goodies #4 Wait for UPS to deliver your Scooby snacks! #5 Put on your apron and pretend you baked them yourself and get major puppy kisses from your fur person. PUPPY PERSONAL INC: TREATS FOR EVERY OCCASION www.puppypersonal.com Smithtown mom Donna Walther is the owner and founder of Puppy Personal, Inc., a company that produces personalized dog treats. We sat down with Walther to find out how she got the business off the ground, how she juggles work and family life, and what advice she has for other mom entrepreneurs. Quick Facts: Donna Walther, owner of Puppy Personal, Inc., lives in Smithtown with her son Raymond, 12. She is engaged to her fiancé, Bobby. Last year, during the height of the economic downturn, Smithtown mom Donna Walther started thinking of a side business she could start from home to supplement her income. In the past, she had baked snacks for her dog, so she decided to create unique dog treats to sell. Pints & Paws In Huntington 5.6.10 05/06/2010
My girlfriend Julie and I attended our first Pints & Paws, which is held every 1st Thursday of each month. Puppy Personal catered the event with dog treats for all the four legged guests. The special rescue guest was the Long Island Bulldog Rescue. There were a lot of people, food, drinks, and DOGS! We were honored to be introduced to Jilli Dog (World's only poker-playing dog) and Rick Caran. Rick is also a columnist for the Yorky Club Magazine. We look forward to attending more Pints & Paws gatherings!!!! Coming Soon...Article on Puppy Personal Inc. 04/10/2010
I was interviewed last week by an editor for the NYMetroParents, Celene McDermott. Celene is a Deputy Editor of Queens Parent, Nassau Parent, and Suffolk Parent. She heard about Puppy Personal from someone who had ordered my treats. I was complimented on my packaging of the treats, customer service, and most of all how much their dogs loved my dog treats! I was asked why I wanted to start my own business, what made me come up with the idea of a dog treat business, how do I balance work and family, and what words of encouragement do I have for moms out there who have dreams of starting their own business but not sure how to go about it with their busy schedules. The article will be in the Suffolk May print edition and online at www.nymetroparents.com. I can't wait to see it! Thanks Celene!!!! Westminster Dog Show 02/15/2010
I was invited by Babette Haggerty for a VIP tour behind the scenes of the Westminster Dog Show today. I cannot begin to tell you how exciting it was. I was shown where the dogs prepare for the show and have their hair groomed, where the press hang out, and where all the different breeds are kept waiting before they are called out to show. She also explained in detail what the judges look for in each breed. It was very interesting and an experience I will never forget. Thanks Babette!!!! Kina and Leo\\\'s Wedding 02/15/2010
The wedding was a blast. With the help from my beautiful sister, we walked around the room feeding treats to all the four legged guests...and even some two legged ones. Over 150 people and over 50 dogs attended this event. Kina lit up the room as she walked down the isle in her wedding dress. You had to see it to believe it!!!! Many thanks again to Babette and Erika who asked me to cater this event. I look forward to working with them in the future. Kina & Leo's Wedding 2.11.10 NYC at Sephora 01/27/2010
